Sunday School News: February 2010
So we’ve made it half way… how ‘bout that? How are we doing? The Sunday School team is arranging notes, subjects and workshop schedules for the second half of the school year. Youth committee is also involved by creating some opportunities for Sunday school. Stay tuned for more details.
Thanks to Pastor Steve and Norma Klemz, Ronda Harrison, and David Jones for leading the January workshops about the “Last Supper.” In learning about Communion, Pastor and Norma showed the kids how to make some delicious flatbread; Ronda lead the aspiring artists in designing pillowcases to be donated to children; and Dave explored science with experiments testing detergents and other fun activities.
Our next series of workshops center around “Baby Moses” in February. Please contact Marci Hall to lead a workshop in science (qualities of paper, floating boats) or creative drama. Looking to March, we’ll be doing art, cooking and a video about Holy Week and Easter. Please consider a three-week opportunity to spend time with Zion’s children.
Blessings to Thomas Wenzel, Cassidy Clark, Dakota Hood and Lauren Shields as you continue your spiritual growth and education with your new scriptures. Many thanks to Susan and the Children’s Choir for the beautiful music and song during this year’s Bible
Presentation.
Peace,
Nicole, Heather and Marci
