Zion’s Congregation Meeting will be held Sunday, May 20th, after the 10:30am worship. Drinks and a light lunch will be provided. The meeting will be held downstairs in the terrace room. All are welcome and encouraged to attend to elect and install new council members; review the 2012 budget; welcome new staff members; synod assembly report and other important issues.

Zion Lutheran Congregation Council
Zion Lutheran Church’s constitution provides for a council of 12 members to oversee the operation of the church. In addition to four officers, the group includes committee chairpersons who lead the ministries of the congregation. Those ministries include worship and music, Christian education, hospitality, evangelism, building and grounds, spiritual enrichment, outreach, communications and youth ministries. Election is for a three-year term, with one opportunity for re-election.

The terms of five members of the council will expire this year. A nominating committee is currently working to provide a slate of nominees for election to the congregation council at the May 20, 2012 congregation meeting.
