2010 General Fund Budget Update
2010 General Fund Budget Update
In May, Zion’s weekly envelopes and loose offerings were at 108% of budget, with income received of $35,384 compared to our monthly budget of $32,812. For the year, we are at 103% of budget: $169,323 received, $164,060 budgeted. Old-timers will remember that it was 13 years ago this summer when we began discussing the need to build a new, more welcoming entrance to our building and to expand our fellowship, classroom, and office space. In the fall of 1997, Paul Mogren and Kristi Grussendorf headed a capital campaign called In Christ, A New Creation, and we broke ground on our east-facing addition in 1998. We borrowed $1.2 million to complete the project. I am happy to report that, with the completion of our most recent capital campaign, we are now mortgage-free for the first time in twelve years.
Praise be to God for the gifts, generosity, and perseverance of Zion’s community of faith!
Yours in Christ, Eric Hinderaker,
Church Council–Treasurer
A NEW BEGINNING UPDATE:
From “A New Beginning,” the capital campaign team is happy to report this loan will be paid off this month. We are grateful for your generous support of this effort.
As of May 1, 2010, we need approximately $40,650.77 to pay off our loan from the Mission Investment Fund, so again, please review your pledge, if necessary, so we can stay on schedule.
Thank you, your Capital Campaign Team
