Those of you who were in worship at Zion May 24th heard a synopsis of Bishop Bjornberg’s cherubim and seraphim sermon at opening worship. Do we walk with angels? You decide. Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly 2009 was an experience in diversity. Speakers called to our minds the issues of immigration past and present, of changing borders, of angels and caregivers. We worshiped in Spanish and English, praying for healing for ourselves and the world. Immersion experiences included trips to ministries in Juarez and El Paso. We embraced our friends, new and old, neighbors on both sides of the border, on both sides of the issues. Please pray for the ministries of the ELCA as together we live out our faith in service to each other.
